Candy Cover Denim Jacket

Outerwear • Fall 2024 • Streetwear Staple

The Candy Cover Denim Jacket reimagines a classic silhouette with an oversized, relaxed cut, clean construction, and standout screenprinted artwork. Built from heavyweight washed denim, it features strap-and-button sleeves designed to stay rolled — a detail meant to reinforce its practical, worn-in attitude.

Concept

This jacket riffs on nostalgia, streetwear, and visual overload. Inspired by anime magazine layouts and barcode aesthetics, the back screenprint mimics a fictional zine cover — wild, loud, and tongue-in-cheek. It's graphic-heavy but silhouette-forward.

Details & Construction

The jacket is made from heavy black washed denim with soft structure and clean finishing. All graphics are custom screenprinted post-wash. Buttoned sleeve straps allow for secure rolling. Snap front, dual chest pockets, and side welt pockets complete the layout. Designed for layering without losing shape.

Reflection

This jacket pushed me to be more precise in scaling prints across garment zones while preserving garment feel. The fit needed to feel relaxed but deliberate — like you could throw it on or build an outfit around it. It’s clean, graphic, and tough.
